XFD Series Cooling Tower

Poor water quality problems are no problem with CTDs crossflow Douglas-Fir splash-filled option. It is the solution you have been seeking.

For poor water quality conditions, CTDs crossflow Douglas-Fir splash fill tower is a great solution for meeting this challenge. Many industrial water sources contain the combination of suspended solids, oils, and greases along with some level of biological activity. To a cooling tower, this is a formula for fouling and a splash fill tower would be a proper tower choice for these conditions.

CTDs XFD Series Tower is engineered to withstand the daily rigors of industrial processing plants, power plants, and oil refineries, and to reliably meet the demands of critical HVAC applications. In order to enhance its biological defenses, all Douglas-Fir structural members are pressured treated after fabrication to defend against decay and to provide a longer service life.

The splash fill material is selected to meet the unique water quality challenges for each application to ensure optimum cooling performance. Constructed of either polyvinylchloride (PVC) or polypropylene (PP) material, the splash fill that CTD utilizes can operate under prolonged hot water temperatures of 140 degrees Fahrenheit or more. CTD uses only the highest quality welded wire mesh for our splash fill hanging systems. Designed and constructed for the harsh environments found inside cooling towers, welded wire mesh is available in both 304L stainless steel and PVC-coated galvanized wire.
